Advancing Communities with the Central Virginia Partnership for Economic Development
Economic development is the engine that drives growth and opportunity in our region. For organizations dedicated to attracting new businesses and supporting local enterprises, having a reliable financial partner is essential. That’s why the Central Virginia Partnership for Economic Development turned to us for their audit and tax needs.
A Level of Trust Built with Time and Results
Helen, president at the Central Valley Partnership of Economic Development, shares how their organization is “very lucky to work with a firm that has the caliber of personnel that Hantzmon Wiebel does.” “It’s just exceptional customer service, but also I feel very comfortable that if you give me an answer, it’s right.”
For over a decade, we have provided annual financial statement audits and prepared Form 990 nonprofit tax returns for the Central Virginia Partnership for Economic Development. Their primary mission is to market Central Virginia to national and international businesses, attracting new investment and helping existing companies grow. This work requires transparency and accountability—which are values we have in common.
When Needs Evolve, We’re There
As the Central Virginia Partnership for Economic Development's activities have expanded, so have their financial reporting requirements. For more than 12 years, federal grant dollars required specialized audits. Our expertise has ensured compliance with both state and federal regulations, providing the transparency that stakeholders and taxpayers expect. “Our audit of your state and previously your federal dollars provides that transparency that not only you're looking for but that taxpayers should be looking for and ensuring that their tax dollars are spent well,” Clarissa B. Hoffman, Partner & CPA with our team in the Accounting & Auditing Department, shares.
Navigating Changes Together
Transitions are inevitable in any organization, and staff changes in the finance department can be particularly challenging. The Central Virginia Partnership for Economic Development has experienced several transitions, but we have been there for them every step of the way.
“When our accountant has left and we get a new accountant, they do things a little bit differently,” Helen notes. “One of our more recent transitions was particularly difficult, and it was extremely helpful to our current person who's in place to be able to call you all and just be sure that all the corrections that needed to be made were made.”
Relationships Foster Success
For us, building lasting relationships is at the heart of what we do. “I find the most rewarding part of my job to be the relationships that I form with my clients,” says Clarissa. Whether your organization is focused on economic development, nonprofit growth, or another mission, we are here to support you with expertise, integrity, and a commitment to your success. If you’re ready for a financial partner who values trust and relationships as much as you do, let’s build the future together.
