Empowering Legacy Through Our Partnership With Montpelier Foundation
Supporting the Mission of The Montpelier Foundation
Running a nonprofit comes with a unique set of challenges, and managing finances is often among the most complex. The Montpelier Foundation, home to James and Dolley Madison, preserves a national landmark while offering programs about history, democracy, and the Constitution. The funds from the Montpelier Hunt Races support The Montpelier Foundation in their ongoing efforts to engage the public with the enduring legacy of the Madison's. As the organization grew, it became clear they needed a trusted financial partner to help manage the increasing complexity of their operations.
Growing With the Organization
As Montpelier’s programs and operations have grown, their financial needs have as well. We first partnered with Montpelier as financial auditors nearly 20 years ago. After more than 15 years in that role, we shifted our role as auditors to acting CFO services, providing guidance for day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts payable, accrual accounting, month-end closes, cash flow projections and forecasting, restricted fund tracking, and managing annual financial statement audits with another CPA firm.
